Volgograd State Technical University

Volgograd State Technical University today is one of the largest higher educational institutions in the Volga region, a well-known scientific centre in South Russia conducting a large amount of theoretical and applied research, implementing its developments in high technology products. Based on the results of the conducted research fundamentally new technologies in the area of chemistry, polymers, petrochemical synthesis, special composite materials, machine and construction structural strength, transport, applied mathematics, machine control and dynamics, experimental physics, machine components and mechanisms modeling were created.
Key research areas: dynamics, strength, reliability of machines, mechanisms and components; fundamentals of explosive welding and development of production processes for manufacturing layered and fibrous composite materials; development of advanced polymer materials with enhanced performance; fine organic synthesis, chemistry and technology of organic matter; theory of computing facilities, modeling of systems, complexes and networks, computer-aided design; scientific rationale of economic reforms.
